Everyone has a physical philosophy.

Yes, physical.

Your thoughts and ideas manifest in your actions and your daily habits.
Those actions and habits shape you. Your posture, your musculature, the health and productivity of your cells, brain power.

What is your physical philosophy? What actions do you take that showcase the way you view the world?

Solitude is the space where suffering goes to die.

I am deeply bothered.

And, I used to think that discontent was a form of negativity that got in the way of my happiness.

But, then I realized something.

Sometimes, those most critical of the people and world around them are the most hopeful.

A grand thinker without scars is nothing but a shadow.

You're not a victim of a vicious world.

You're just afraid of the freedom that comes with responsibility.

Be Valiant. Chase the Sun.

Only you can translate that ancient tongue emanating from deep within your bones.

We only come to understand the dark by shouting into it and listening to what echoes back.

To make friends with your demons is to listen to the echoes of your choices.

What choices have you made that still echo within you?
What might they be trying to teach?

Comfort is an enemy of authenticity.

Passivity leaves room for others to define who you are.
Transcend your environment and choose to search for meaning.

You cannot rely on yourself if you neglect your body.

A resilient body empowers a resilient mind.

How about "found in thought" instead of "lost in thought"?

Wander the chasms of your own mind. Each idea or fear is a piece of yourself waiting to be understood.

Nonconformity is NOT the same as rejecting the majority.

Nonconformity is about establishing your own values and systems in spite of society.

Here are 3 ways we can practice nonconformity:

1. Speak your mind - Express what you genuinely believe even if it will change tomorrow. This declaration of belief helps to create a bridge for others to cross over and support or examine what you've said.

2. Question tradition - We inherit beliefs from our parents, communities and other institutions and we rarely question or examine them. Doing so, allows us to find out what truly resonates with us.

3. Stand alone - One must always be prepared to stand up for one's convictions without anyone else by their side. 1 - 1 debate is a great way of practicing this.

We make islands of our hearts
and ignore the tides that shape them.

Those who do not seek strength will find virtue in weakness.

Dependence is one's levy on society. Enrich others by standing on your own.

I go by moonlight to stand in front of the well of wisdom which never runs dry, drawing from its depths my most profound truths.

We are vessels shaped by our choices.

Mind, body, and spirit unify to reflect the actions we've taken.

Are you satisfied with the shape you're creating?

Teach your family not resignation in the face of adversity, but rather courage.

A declaration of surrender
should be more painful
than the struggle of endurance.

You are overflowing
with potential
Stifled only by
your refusal to act.

LET IT OUT.

Every act of self reliance is a vote of confidence in oneself.

It is a scary thing
to face the demons buried in my heart.

I must remember they exist
to help me fight
the demons at my doorstep.

There was a time
when your eyes burned with fire,
fed by a single question:
Why?

Self sabotage promotes the illusion of self control.

Purpose isn’t profound; it’s practical.

We discover it by tying meaning and responsibility to our decisions.

Purpose grows out of small, authentic actions and how we reflect on them.

Intuition arises when you draw from past experiences, listen to current stimuli, and respond authentically in the moment.

A weak mind is an irresponsible one.

You're not healthy or happy because you're incapable of becoming so -- you lack responsibility over your actions.

Here are 3 steps to reclaim responsibility and build a more resilient mind:

1. Own Your Mistakes
Everyone makes them. The difference between the fulfilled and frustrated is ownership.

2. Take Charge of One Small Thing
The chaos of your life is yours to do with what you please. Gain a small sense of control and watch it ripple.

3. Commit to your Promises
No one, including you, respects someone who has a fickle value system. Every time you break a promise you commit to lower standard.

Responsibility is a choice. Every choice you make has the potential to make you stronger.

Your addiction to detachment ensures a life devoid of meaning.

Immerse yourself in life's complexities!

To flee opposing opinions is to admit the fragility of your own.

5 ways to strengthen your ideas:

1. Seek Discomfort
Engage with perspectives that make you uncomfortable. The key here is to be curious about the perspectives themselves as well as how you would respond to them.

2. Turn Opposition into Inquiry
Learn more about your opposition. You may be able to strengthen your own idea or adopt a new outlook.

3. Sharpen the Sword
There are two sides to a sword the one sharpened with your own argument and another sharpened with your understanding of the opposing argument.

4. Be Open to Being Wrong
Your position on a topic will never be perfect, but admitting that it needs refinement is a step towards perfection.

5. Use Your Circle
Surround yourself with people who will challenge your beliefs as well as enhance beliefs they agree with.

Don't let yourself off easy. You only get stronger when you're met with resistance.

The purpose of argument isn't to win, but to find truth!
